Restaurant Review by M. O.
I'd like to introduce one of my favorite restaurants. The shop's name is Stone Burg. As you can guess from the name, this restaurant's main menu item is a hamburg steak baked on a plate that is made of stone.
There are 59 seats, and all seats are non-smoking. The restaurant is a little dark, but I felt calm, so I think it has a good atmosphere.
In this shop, you can choose the amount of hamburg steak, from 180g, 270g, 360g, 450g. The price goes up 320 yen for each increase in the amount, so you must take care. I chose the amount of 180g, and the price was 1080 yen.
You can choose from six types of sauce; demi-glace, wafu oroshi, Amerian gravy, garlic soy sauce, and Italian tomato. On this day, I chose American gravy sauce topped with cheese. The plate is very hot, so to prevent being burnt by gravy and sauce flying, paper is wrapped around the iron plate. The hamburg shape is a little strange, like a bale. It has a lot of volume and is very delicious.
When you go at dinner time, I think you must wait a little, so I recommend going at lunchtime. And Stone Burg gives you a free dessert if you go on your birthday, so try to go on your birthday.
Stone Burg is directly connected to Kawasaki Station, so I think it has good access.

Talk Back - Mysterious Name, Fantastic Food
Restaurant Review by K.M.
One of the great things about living in the Tokyo/Yokohama area is being close to many excellent entertainment and restaurant districts. I live not too far (about 7 train stops) from Kichijoji, a suburb of Tokyo on the Chuo Line. Kichijoji is home to scores of quaint and charming restaurants, cafes and bistrots, most of which are casual, and not overly expensive. Last night I went to Talk Back, and I recommend it highly.
Talk Back bills itself as a French-style bistrot, and it certainly has a nice rustic, European feel to it. It's the kind of place you want to have wine with your meal and enjoy the creative and flavorful dishes they have on offer, and at a slow pace.
The regular menu is extensive, but even the daily recommended specials list is quite substantial. We chose a salad as an appetizer, garlic bread, a fish dish (snapper) and lamb sausage couscous. Additionally, there are many soups, pasta dishes and meat, poultry and seafood entrees available. Entrees range from about 1000-3000 yen.
Thinking the salad would be small and Japanese-sized, I was surprised at how much volume there was, and the vinaigrette dressing was delightful. The snapper came in a creamy sauce with vegetables such as asparagus, squash, okra, and baby corn. The couscous entree was two large pieces of lamb sausage in a tomato-based sauce, which was very flavorful, also with vegetables. The amount of couscous (semolina grain) was small by French standards, but considering the volume of everything else, it was fine, as we were both quite full already.
Many of the customers were couples, but there were families and small groups as well. The atmosphere is noisy, casual, and relaxed, with both table and counter seating. From the counter, you can watch the cooks at work, and they are continuously busy. Reservations are recommended.
The owner of Talk Back has two other restaurants nearby, Galopin and Talk Back Bicoque, the latter of which appears to feature more Italian dishes. I haven't tried these yet, but they're on my list!

Uniroom - The Stylish Café [CLOSED!]
Sorry! This café is now closed!
Restaurant Review by A.S
Saturdays 11:00~17:00
Restaurant Review by A.S
Do you know the café, Uniroom? It is close to Tsurumi University.
This café has many items. For example, they have green curry, the daily set
lunch, pasta, coffee art and French toast.
When I went there, I ate French toast. It was delicious. The ice cream on the bread and strawberry sauce was a good combination. I think the prices are cheaper than other cafés. The price of French toast is 700 yen.

Café art is popular in this café. For example
they can draw a heart, cat, dog, etc. The most interesting coffee is café au lait. The taste was subtly... yummy. I think it is
a funny menu.
Uniroom's atmosphere is stylish. When I went there, I
could watch a movie. The movie was showing on the walls and in English, so I
couldn’t understand and I couldn't know the title. But I enjoyed the atmosphere.
This café is nearby Tsurumi University, so if you have time, please go to this

Shichirin Sumiyaki TETSU - Are you lucky?
Restaurant Review by S. H.
I think many people like reasonable shops and restaurants, so today I'd like to introduce a very cheap yakiniku restaurant. It has some special prices and good tasty menu items. I was really surprised when I went to the restaurant and saw the prices of the menu items, because some menu items, pork, chicken and horumonyaki are only 158 yen, and some beef (rib, sirloin, other) are 399 yen.

My recommended item is shiodarehorumon, Shiodare is original salt sauce and it goes on the horumonyaki. It's very good.
The
restaurant has 65 seats, but 2 of these are outside seats. And
you can eat for half price when you sit in the outside seats. But the outside seats
are only 2 seats. If you are a lucky person, you can sit at the outside
seats. I think it's a unique point, and charming for me.
I think the most important thing at this restaurant is the
atmosphere. This restaurant's distance between seats is narrow, so we can hear
the conversation of other people and laughing voices. So if you want to enjoy
dinner calmly, I don't recommend it. But I hope you like it.
The restaurant
is located in Mizonokuchi, and is a 2 minute walk on foot from the Tokyu Denentoshi
Line Mizonokuchi Station or JR Nambu Line Musashimizonokuchi Station.

Washoku Restaurant - Miura Itadaki Shokudou
Restaurant Review by Y. N.
I'd like to introduce Miura Itadaki Shokudou, which is a Japanese style restaurant. I went with my friend. The shop is in the basement, and I was excited because this restaurant sells fresh fish. It may be slightly high for students.
The main menu is fish. The picture shows osashimi no moriawase. Tuna, sawara, kanpachi, tako (octopus) and hotate (scallops) are also served. I ordered these fish dishes on that day. I thought that the broiled tuna was particularly delicious.
The restaurant is medium size. There are about 12 tables for four. There are also about ten seats at the counter.
There were a lot of office workers on the day I went, but it is not crowded on weekdays If you go on a weekday, you will probably get seated immediately.
The staff was very friendly so I felt. I want to take everybody!

Tonkatsu Restaurant - Maisen
Restaurant Review by Y. H.
I will introduce a tonkatsu (pork cutlet) restaurant. Tonkatsu is one of the most popular foods in Japan. Of course, I like it very much.
I went to Maisen at Foursyun in LaLaPort Yokohama. It is located near Kamoi Station on the Yokohama Line. Foursyun is like a food court. Customers sit at one of the many tables and eat, but it is more expensive and more refined than a general food court. Foursyun has many tempting restaurants, I chose Maisen from among them.
At Maisen, we
can eat various pork cutlet items, such as shogayaki (pork fried with ginger), pork cutlet curry, and katsudon (pork
cutlet with egg on rice). I ordered the cha-mi-ton (a kind
of pork cutlet) set meal. It’s 1190 yen. It is not too expensive.
The tonkatsu
is glossy, but definitely not oily, and is very tender, so I could cut it easily
with chopsticks. In addition, the coating is very crispy and tasty. Maybe I had never
eaten such a delicious pork cutlet before. Naturally, the rice and laver miso
soup tastes very good. I ate it too quickly, which was slightly regrettable.
If you want to eat tonkatsu at Maisen, you should go on a
weekday because it is very crowded on weekends.

Do you want to go to a restaurant that is lovely and the dishes are delicious?
I went to Machida Pecori with my friends the other day, so I
will introduce it to everyone because I like it very much. I think you
will like it too.
Machida Pecori is a cafe and restaurant. The menu is
mainly Italian dishes. There are many course menus too.
When we went, we chose the Joshikai Course. It's a 3500 yen course with
a 3 hour limit Ten items come out in all.
The desserts are served all
you can eat and you can drink as much as you like. Pasta, salad, chicken, and French fries came out, and we became very full. The kind of pasta
changes daily. Mine was the clam peperoncino pasta. It was very good!!
I have to particularly recommend the rare cheese cake. I ate
two pieces. It was so delicious!!
Inside this restaurant, the lighting is a little
dim, and there are a lot of colorful lamps. There are table seats and
booth seats. All wait staff are kind, bright and cheerful to customers. We were able
to spend a happy time.
If you tell the waiters it's your birthday, they will provide
a surprise rendition of Happy Birthday. They present fireworks and cake to
the person whose birthday it is.
It's a very nice restaurant, so please go.

Original Yakitori - Senkushiya
Restaurant Review by A. I.
I'd like to introduce my favorite Japanese food shop that sells skewers of grilled chicken, Senkushiya in Futamatagawa. Senkushiya is about five minutes from Futamatagawa Station. A big lantern is displayed in front of the shop.
Senkushiya mainly has barbecued chicken and motsunabe. It is very delicious. There are some
original menu items at Senkushiya. The most popular dish is white liver. My favorite menu item is tomato maki. It is a dish with tomato wrapped in bacon. The tomato softens and is so delicious.
The restaurant interior is beautiful, so Senkushiya is especially popular among woman. There are 20 seats. People can watch the cook grilling the barbecued chicken there.

Very Good Man
Restaurant Review by K. N.
Today, I'd like to introduce Very Good Man, a steak restaurant. When you want to eat something like steak and you are near Yokohama Station, you should go to this restaurant.
At Very Good Man the atmosphere is nice, calm and fashionable. This restaurant staff are very kind, because they always care about customers. For example when we finish our water, they bring water to refill our glasses.
Next I going to talk about the menu. There are many kinds of steak and grilled food. The steak is so soft to bite. My favorite menu item is steak and rice with yakiniku flavor (¥1206). It is steak on rice like a donburi.
This restaurant is located in many places in Kanto, but I usually go to the one under Yodobashi Camera in Yokohama. It is near JR Yokohama Station. You can get to Very Good Man in just 10 minutes from the station.
I suggest you go to this restaurant!

Rakeru - an omelet restaurant that uses premium eggs!!
Restaurant Review by D. D.
I'd like to introduce the restaurant Rakeru. Rakeru is a restaurant that serves omelets and Japanese omurice. Rakeru has 48 shops in Japan. Almost all shops are in the Kanto region (shop location list) so some people who live in the Kanto region may know Rakeru. I went to the Shibuya Miyamasuzaka shop with my friend.
Omurice is a popular dish in Japan. It's an omelet with a filling of ketchup‐seasoned fried rice. Rakeru is particular about its ingredients, especially eggs. Rakeru uses Yodo Ran Hikari. It’s a premium egg.
Rakeru has about 20 tables so you don’t need to wait long and you don’t need a reservation. Four people can dine at one table. There is no counter, but we can see the kitchen depending on the table.
Rakeru has many menu items. You might be unable to decide what to order. That happened to me. The most popular menu is Omurice and Hamburg with Demiglace sauce (¥1,166). Finally, I decided on Chicken and Tomato Cream Omurice (¥1,058) and Salad Set (¥216). I t was so nice!! These are not expensive if your budget is ¥1,200. You can also choose the course menu if you like (plate, drink, soup, bread (¥1,382), with dessert (¥1,706)).
In general, omurice uses ketchup‐seasoned fried rice, but this restaurant doesn't use ketchup-seasoned fried rice. Rakeru uses curried pilaf. The taste is very nice, and we were well satisfied.
The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, and we could enjoy a leisurely meal. Some Rakeru shops do not allow smoking, but some shops have separate areas for smokers and non-smokers. And Rakeru’s waitress uniforms are cute, so check them out if you go there.
Thanks for reading my review.

Stylish Sushi Bar - Kohada
Restaurant Review by H. A.
I will introduce my favorite sushi bar, Kohada. I have been to various sushi bars, but this sushi bar is the most delicious!
Kohada is not belt conveyor sushi, but it's cheaper than other sushi bars. The cheapest neta ('neta' is the fish or other sushi ingredient that goes on top of the rice) is 100 yen. And the most expensive neta is 800 yen.
Each neta is very thick and filling. Kohada’s master goes to the fish market himself and gets the seafood, so the neta is fresh and delicious!
I ate many pieces of Sushi. I tried salmon, ikura (salmon roe), toro (fatty tuna), and kohada. Kohada is the most recommended. It has a rich taste.
Kohada's menu is not only sushi, but you can enjoy other a la carte items as well. For example, handmade omelet,’ ‘miso soup,’ ‘seafood salad’ and more are on the menu. Of those, ‘tuna steak with the bone’ is the most popular food. This food is so big, but the price is only 900 yen.
Kohada also has various kinds of Japanese sake. There are some rare types of sake available. You should try sake at Kohada!
To go there, exit the Yokohama Station east gate. Go straight, cross the bridge, and cross the pedestrian crossing. It’s a five minute walk from Yokohama Station.

Ramen Gyoten-ya - Good Tasting Ramen
Restaurant Review by M.K.
Today, I'd like to introduce Ramen Gyoten-ya, which is a Japanese ramen restaurant chain. I like ramen, so I often go to ramen restaurants. This restaurant should be interesting to people who like ramen and Japanese food, as ramen is very popular, not only in Japan, but also in some foreign countries.
I went to this restaurant with my band members after band practice. A member of my band, who likes this restaurant introduced it to us. We didn’t wait for a table because it was about 11:00 p.m.
I ate Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen, which is the most popular menu item in the restaurant. It tasted very nice and at 700 yen, it was a reasonable price!
Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen is simple. A slice of pork, a few leaves of spinach and about 5 pieces of nori (dried seaweed) are in the bowl. The nori made a nice display!!
The waiters in the restaurant give polite service to the customers, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly dirty. However, it’s a ramen restaurant, so I think it’s good when the ramen restaurant is slightly dirty. The people who often eat ramen can understand my thinking.
There is only one table, but it’s long and wide, so 22 people can dine there at one time.
This restaurant is next to the music studio where we practiced, so it’s convenient for us. We may go the restaurant again at the next practice. This restaurant chain has four locations.

Pacific Deli - Shonan Style Restaurant
Restaurant Review by T. F.
Have you ever been to Chigasaki? There are famous restaurants there. One is Pacific Deli, a local cafe and restaurant. It has various items, such as pasta, Asian noodles, hamburger steak, loco moco and so on. Moreover, it has many kinds of alcohol, so you can enjoy your meal with a lot of food and cocktails.
This restaurant has 3 shops in the Shonan area. The atmosphere and menu are slightly different at each restaurant. I went to Pacific Deli in Chigasaki LUSCA. It has a western style appearance
I ordered Original Spareribs. This is the recommended item in this restaurant. There are 3 sizes: S size (2 pieces ¥1300), M size (3 pieces ¥1800) and L size (4 pieces ¥2200). You can choose from two sauces, BBQ sauce or black vinegar sauce. I chose BBQ sauce. It is spicy, so you might become addicted to it. This dish uses big pieces of meat, but it's so tender that it's really easy to cut. The spareribs are so delicious!!
After the meal, I ordered Vanilla French (¥800). This is a French toast that has fresh cream and ice cream. This item is so popular. If you like sweets, you should go there and eat it! Everything can be ordered for take-out, too!
Reservations are accepted at this restaurant, and if you want to have a party, you can reserve the whole restaurant.

This restaurant is unusual because they allow you to bring your dog! They even have some menu items for dogs, such as bread or cookies! You can go there during your walk with your dog!
The restaurant is within easy walking distance from Chigasaki Station because it's connected to the station. Please try and go at least once.

Feel the Authentic Taste! - Tokori
Do you want to feel the atmosphere of Korea? The Korean restaurant, Tokori, has 7 locations in Japan. You can feel the authentic taste and atmosphere of Korea there. Many kinds of hot spicy foods are on the menu, so I’m going to introduce them now.
First, I will tell you about the special features of this restaurant. This restaurant’s lighting is a little bit dark, but you can see a nice view from there. so you don’t mind the dark. In addition, you can eat at the counter. The counter is best for a couple, as it’s so romantic. The staff are kind to us, and they keep their customers in mind. They refilled my glass of water several times. You can have the best time with the staff, your friend or your special person.
You don’t need a reservation, but if you want to eat with a beautiful night view, you should reserve a table. This restaurant has 90 tables, so you can have a banquet. But the capacity is 20 people for each party.
There are many kinds of Korean food available at this restaurant. For example, there is Korean barbeque, Jigae Pot (¥1200) and Sundubu (¥1000). These are popular menu items. One of my favorite items is Kochori (a kimchee flavored salad). Kochori is part of the set menu and it’s not available separately. It’s healthy and delicious, but so spicy hot. Most items on Tokori’s menu are spicy hot, so if you don’t care for spicy food, I can’t recommend it to you.
Tokori has many course menu sets. The course menus are good for having a banquet. Of course this restaurant has a la carte items too. I recommend you choose from the a la carte menu. The a la carte menu is less expensive than the course menu. But this restaurant is a little expensive. The average price per person is over ¥3000. You’d better use some coupons, or you should go on a special day or anniversary. However you can pay with a creditcard at the register. This restaurant accepts Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, and American Express.
Tokori is easy to find. It’s next to a movie theater. You can’t smoke at this restaurant, but they have a special smoking section nearby. Colette Mare Minato Mirai has a big parking area. You can go to this restaurant with your family by car.
If you visit Sakuragicho, you should dine at Tokori with it’s beautiful Minatomirai night view. And you should go to this restaurant with your special person on your special day.
Have a good time!!!

Village Vanguard Diner - I think you'll like it!
Restaurant
Review by K.O.
Do you have a favorite
hamburger restaurant? Today, I’ll introduce the hamburger restaurant where I
often go. I like this restaurant’s hamburgers, so I think you will like them
too!
At Village Vanguard Diner,
there are many kinds of hamburger. For example, they have avocado burgers,
cheeseburgers, avocado cheeseburgers, bacon lettuce burgers, and so on. I
especially like the cheeseburger! It is delicious!
This restaurant’s good
point is that it’s cheap. The cheeseburger is 880 yen! If you order a
cheeseburger and something to drink, you can keep the price within 2000 yen.
And another good point is that the staff is kind. If you go there for the first
time, the staff will teach you how to eat the hamburger!
Although this is a
hamburger restaurant, there are pancakes and loko mokos, too. You can eat many kinds of food!
This restaurant is a place with a good atmosphere. My
favorite music is played there. There are only 31 tables, but you can eat at the
couple seats or counters.
If you go there with your children, there are chairs for kids. But this restaurant doesn't allow smoking, so if you smoke, you must go outside to a smoking area.

I often go to the
Yokohama location, but there are branches in Kichijoji and Shimokitazawa as
well. You don’t need reservations, so you should go there and eat with your
friends or with your boyfriend or girlfriend!
If you’d like something
good to eat, go to Village Vanguard Diner!!

Navy Burger - Tsunami
Restaurant Review by M.S.
I’d like to introduce one of my favorite restaurants, Tsunami in Yokosuka. We can eat Mexican food and American-style burgers there. The Navy Burger is very popular at Tsurumi and many famous people go there to try it.
I went there with my friends. I ate the Hawaiian BBQ Burger, and my friends ate Yokosuka Cherry Cheesecake. I sometimes go there and eat a Navy Burger. The Navy Burger is like the armed forces food of the US Navy in the old days. At Tsunami in Yokosuka, a hamburger was developed based on this recipe and is sold by the name of Navy Burger.
At Tsunami, there are many kinds of Mexican food, hamburgers, curry, dessert and beer. The most popular menu is the GW Burger. If you eat a hamburger, you can choose regular size or quarter pound. It costs about 1000 yen.
The atmosphere at Tsunami is very good. You can relax and enjoy eating or drinking there.
The location is near Shioiri Station on Dobuita Street. Tsunami is open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
If you want to eat a delicious hamburger, you should go to Tsunami!

Delicious Western Dishes - Royal Host
Restaurant Review by M.H.
I'd like to introduce Royal Host, which is a cheerful Western style family restaurant. I went there with my parents recently. It's popular with men and women of all ages. I'm going to write about the goodness of Royal Host.
I had an omelet containing fried rice and a terrine side dish. The dishes were very delicious and they made for a hearty lunch. The cost was 1,058 yen for the two dishes. The menu item's name is "Royal Omurice with Hashed Beef Sauce." The terrine, which contained 11 kinds of vegetables and some shrimp, tasted homemade.
A type of smorgasbord is available in this restaurant. In brief, the guests can eat and drink freely from the buffet table. There are soft drinks, soups, salads, and bread. Recently, Japanese food and Chinese food have been added to the regular items.
The staff are very hospitable to guests. Of course, the other dishes look very delicious and appear to be large volume as well. The list of menu items is abundant. If you eat some Western dishes there, you will be well-nourished. The food is better here compared to other similar family restaurants.
This restaurant is open from early morning to late at night. You can sit at tables, but there is no counter seating. There is a parking area, so you can come by car if you like.
I could know the menu and system of Royal Host this time. I recommend you go to Royal Host and eat something.
